Prior to going to production, each Lantech product is tested for hardware functionality, network performance, OS performance, security, network protocol and network interoperability. Lantech products are extensively tested using Smartbits, IXIA/Chalet and Application packet generation tools to ensure switch performance and reliability under heavy network traffic. Lantech Industrial products are designed to meet guidelines for critical network environments with IP 30 enclosures and are tested under extensive Industrial EMI and Safety standards. To provide more reliability, Lantech Industrial products also undergo extensive stability tests including free-fall, shock and vibration tests.

Lantech selects green as the base color of company’s logo, because we believe that environmental protection is one of our core commitments. Lantech products are built in our manufacturing facility under Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) and using lead-free processes. To meet the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive and regulations, Lantech always considers how to make products more recyclable and how to make less waste during manufacturing and design processes. Easy, Convenient, and Flexible
No matter whether the products are designed for industrial usage or commercial usage, we believe that a product which is easy and simple to use is one of the top priorities for our clients. Therefore, many of our products are designed with both DIN rail and wall mounts, making installation simpler and more convenient. We design some of our products in a compact form factor, allowing our clients to not have to worry about space constraints. Many of our products also feature a wide input power range, providing for more flexible configurations when installing.
Rugged, Certified, and Durable
Industrial products will be used in diverse operating environments such as mining with extreme high and low temperatures, so our industrial products need to be more rugged and durable than commercial grade products. Lantech industrial products are designed with a high standard for critical network environments. With IP-30 enclosures, Lantech products provide stronger protection than plastic enclosures. Lantech products pass tests for industrial EMI, safety standards, and stability tests which include free fall, shock, and vibration. Wider operating temperatures ranging from -40°C to 75°C are also available for some models, which allow for operation in more critical industrial environments.
Stable, Organized, and Reliable
With Lantech’s advanced “ITU G.8032 Ring”, it is possible to find an auto-recovery-path in less than 20ms, during network fail-over. With this feature up to 256 Lantech Industrial Switches can be placed in a ring, providing for a more organized and reliable network environment. Most Lantech products are designed with dual power inputs, providing a more stable and reliable energy supply.

Certifications
CE
CE is an abbreviation for “European Conformity” in French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. The CE Marking is obligatory for products sold in the European market. These products must follow the legislation of certain European health, safety and environmental protection. The CE Marking indicates that the product is affixed to conform to all relevant essential requirements, which refer to safety, public health and consumer protection.
FCC class A/B
To reduce the risk of harmful interference from a digital device, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of United States has established requirements for manufacturers.
The FCC has established two classes of the maximum emission levels, Class A and Class B. Class A is for use in an industrial or a commercial area while Class B may be marketed for use in a residential area in addition to use in an industrial or a commercial area.
UL
UL is an abbreviation for Underwriters Laboratories, which is an independent product safety certification organization that has been testing products and writing standards for safety for more than a century. UL evaluates products, components, materials and systems from its worldwide service laboratory, testing and certification facilities. UL has developed more than 1,000 standards for safety which are essential to helping ensure public safety and confidence, improve quality of products and services, and reduce costs.
WEEE & RoHS2
The WEEE and RoHS2 directives are European Laws which set production, collection, recycling and recovery targets for all types of electrical goods. The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive is the European Union directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment. The WEEE registration number of Lantech is DE 60157681. RoHS2 is the directive which restricts the use of ten hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. The top priority of these two directives is environmental protection for a better future.
